Residents may be aware that there was a report of a young girl being sexually assaulted in Deanshanger on Saturday 20 Sept.
I have been in contact with the police on this matter to establish the facts. They have responded:-
“Detectives investigating a report of a girl being touched inappropriately by a man on a bicycle in Deanshanger on September 20th have made an arrest.
On Tuesday, September 23rd a 35-year-old man from Deanshanger was arrested on suspicion of the sexual assault of a female child under 13 by touching.”
The police have confirmed to me that contrary to speculation on line the arrested individual was NOT a resident of the MK Hotel.
