WNC met 9 Jan to agree to express an interest in the creation of new Mayoral Authority covering South Midlands, that is Northants, Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.
This proposed body would sit above West Northants, North Northants, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire and Luton Councils. A Mayor would be directly elected and charge an amount for their services.
